IQ Inc. is looking for a DevOps Engineer who enjoys tackling complex challenges, supporting multiple teams, and building reliable, scalable cloud and automation solutions.
In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to design, build, and own DevOps solutions across a wide variety of products, architectures, and client environments. If you enjoy autonomy, like switching gears between projects, and want to play a key role in shaping company-wide DevOps practices, we’d love to hear from you!
What You’ll Do
- Design, build, and maintain cloud infrastructure in AWS and Azure
- Create and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform (plus Bicep/CloudFormation as needed)
- Build CI/CD pipelines from scratch using Azure DevOps
- Support and optimize multiple concurrent client environments (Dev, Test, Demo, Prod)
- Containerize applications using Docker; work with Kubernetes where applicable
- Integrate automated testing into build/release workflows
- Implement and maintain security‑driven practices: least‑privilege IAM, audit logging, SBOM scanning, dependency checks
- Set up structured logging, monitoring, alerting, and incident response processes
- Lead or participate in postmortems, root‑cause analysis, and remediation planning
- Apply cost‑awareness strategies: resource tagging, usage breakdowns, rightsizing
- Document environments, decisions, processes, and architectures
- Operate independently while supporting multiple teams and clients in parallel
What We’re Looking For
- 4+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar role
- Strong experience with AWS and Azure
- Hands-on, professional experience with Terraform
- Experience building end-to-end CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps
- Strong knowledge of Docker and containerized application workflows
- Understanding of multiple-environment setups and deployment strategies
- Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines
- Working knowledge of security and compliance standards (HIPAA, HITRUST)
- Familiarity with IAM best practices, audit logging, and dependency scanning tools
- Ability to manage multiple client environments and operate with minimal oversight
- Strong communication skills and solid documentation habits
Nice-to-Haves
- Experience with Kubernetes
- Experience with Bicep or CloudFormation
- Hands-on observability tooling (logging stacks, metrics, alerting platforms)
- Experience leading incident response and postmortems
- Background in consulting or supporting multiple cross-functional teams
- Cost-optimization experience across cloud providers
