Amy Peterson, longtime member of the professional team at IQ Inc., a provider of custom software solutions for business clients, has been named Chief Operating Officer, effective immediately. As COO, Peterson will be responsible for all daily operations of the company. The announcement came from IQ Inc. founder and President Barbara VanKirk.
Peterson’s new role supports the company’s long-range succession strategy. To coincide with the 25th anniversary of IQ Inc. in October 2019, VanKirk will become Chairperson and Chief Executive Officer, with Peterson moving into the President role.
“Amy first engaged with IQ Inc. as a client in 1995, just a year after we had been founded,” explained VanKirk. “She joined the company in 2000, then gained more valuable experience and perspective from the client side again until coming back to IQ Inc. in 2013. She has become an invaluable part of our growth since then, and a deserving leader for our future.”
