IQ Inc. had a booth at Pittsburgh Robotics & AI Discovery Day on September 16 at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center, and we had a blast! More than 250 exhibitors filled the hall, and the crowd never let up: engineers, students, career changers, founders, and plenty of people who just wanted to see what a robot can do up close. We ran a little program at our booth that let visitors draw a quick sketch and watch it come back immortalized in digital wood or stone, ready to share. It was a hit with kids and engineers alike, and we talked until we nearly lost our voices.
We came out in force this year, with people from both IQ Inc. and Critical Software working the booth, operations and engineers alike. IQ has spent 30+ years building software for companies in and around Pittsburgh for mission- and safety-critical needs. Critical Software, which IQ joined in January 2026, brought the perspective of a team that has been doing safety-critical engineering work in Europe for decades. Between the two of us, we covered a lot of ground with the folks who stopped by. Thanks to the Pittsburgh Robotics Network and Innovation Works for putting the day together, and thanks to everyone who came by to say hello. We are already looking forward to next year.
