PREAC Risk & Reliability Software
IQ collaborated with the Department of Defense to deliver a next-generation, secure, and flexible platform—modernizing legacy risk and reliability analysis tools.
This new system (PREAC) needed to model, calculate, and predict the reliability of complex DoD systems, such as radar platforms and other mission-critical equipment.
PREAC had to support complex, nested data structures representing systems, configurations, assemblies, and parts. Each part included an associated Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) table to capture detailed reliability data.

Using modern web tech stack of Next.js, TypeScript, Mantine UI and .NET, IQ designed and developed a new platform that allows users to easily navigate hierarchical parts and assemblies system trees, view and edit FMEA data and visualize calculation and validation results in real-time.
The team further leveraged on NUnit for unit testing and Selenium with Python for automation testing.
Results & Impacts
- Enabled secure and flexible deployments to DoD environments with minimal overhead by fully containerizing the system with Docker.
- Ensured application is performant, resilient, and maintainable by leveraging modern web technologies in conjunction with comprehensive automated testing.
- Users are able to seamlessly import data directly from WRR and other government data sources, minimizing manual re-entry.
